operates all year round. Stage side
practises are once a week on Sunday
afternoon at Commander Park
Community Centre. Road side
practises begin the first week in July
and run until the Caribana parade. If

Symphonyx stage side members
consist of a combination of youth and
adults. The band performs all year
round at a variety of different
functions. The adult members act as
mentors to an ever growing group of
youth players whose talent and
commitment have helped make
Symphonyx Steel Orchestra what it is
today.
The Band Operations Committee
(BOCOM) is comprised of a group of
adults and one youth leader that work
diligently and handle all of the
administrative affairs of the
organization. BOCOM is responsible
for planning fundraising events, event
coordination, instrument logistics,
equipment requirements and corporate
sponsorships.
